Who operates dvn
dvn is developed by Devin Thomas at Uppercut Labs. It loads original skill instructions from approved sources, including Public Skills and Starter Pack. Public skills do not require an account.
What requests contain
dvn receives a skill selector, a short task summary when supplied, and the packet or reference identifiers needed to answer your request. Send only the non-sensitive intent needed to select a skill. dvn does not need your entire conversation.
Source context and diagnostics
dvn stores source context and revisions to preserve a selected workflow for follow-ups. Routine service logs exclude user prompts, skill bodies and authentication secrets. Retention diagnostics contain bounded error categories rather than free-form request content.
Optional GitHub connection
GitHub sign-in establishes your identity. Private skill access additionally requires current access to the approved source repository. The service stores linked credentials securely; it does not put them in skill packets or the public plugin package. Credentials and identity records support the connection for its lifetime.
Private snapshots
Private snapshots are encrypted and partitioned by caller. Private snapshots and retention diagnostics expire 30 days after creation; reads do not renew that period. Eligible stale snapshots can be served only within the separate seven-day limit, with a visible STALE label. Snapshot expiry does not imply deletion of every account or identity record.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts dvn, Neon provides durable storage, and GitHub provides source retrieval and optional sign-in. Your host application, including ChatGPT, processes its own conversations under its own policies. dvn does not control that processing.
Access and deletion requests
You can revoke the GitHub App or connected application to remove the associated access. Revocation does not by itself prove deletion of all stored records. Contact support to request access information, disconnection assistance or deletion of linked account data.
